This Programme is a therapeutic process that increases sensory perception by stimulating self learning through problem solving exercises thereby improving;
Sensory integration: Concentration : Self-esteem: Self-confidence: Co-ordination
Motivation: Dyslexic tendencies: Self-Awareness: Emotional Well Being
WHAT IS PERCEPTION?
Perception involves many aspects of thinking, especially our ability to interrelate, recognise, remember and match what is familiar to us in an unfamiliar setting. This ability enables us to understand increasingly complex concepts. The absence of this ability can create difficulties such as being disorganised, a poor aptitude for maths and abstract thinking, not to mention feelings of inadequacy. When we have not mastered basic perceptual skills difficulties can be experienced in concentrating, understanding new concepts, processing language and categorising. Compensatory behaviours can come as a result of not being able to perform in the way that is expected of us.
WHY ARE WE DIFFERENT FROM EACH OTHER?
When we are born we all have millions of neurons with very few inter-connections. As a baby interacts with its environment it connects neurons together creating neural networking. When a child reaches the age of seven he should have the necessary building blocks of neural networks for learning to take place. If this isn’t so then the ability to perform is restricted.
HOW DO WE REACH OUR TRUE POTENTIAL?
Our brain needs to function as a complete and integral unit. It does this by integrating the left and right hemi-spheres thereby allowing it to process and interpret information effectively.
The key to performance lies in having the correct building blocks of sensory integration. The programme can aid in building neural bridges that are crucial for us to thrive in areas where we previously struggled.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The games have been specifically selected to retrace the steps of self learning that in an ideal world we would have received in the first seven years of our lives.
WHAT DO YOU SEE WHEN A PERSON HAS COMPLETED THE GAMES PROGRAMME?
A person who wants to learn as they believe they can achieve.
A happier more confident person
who finds life an adventure rather than a grind.
A person who is grounded and integrated in a balanced way.
A person who sees life from the perspective of half full rather than half empty.
A person who is motivated and willing to try out new concepts.
Children who don’t like going to school will find an enthusiasm for learning.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Between Seven and Eight sessions lasting approximately 75 minutes.
Once per week is the ideal.
